37-year-old Curry is selected for the second team of the NBA All-A-Level. The "Golden Period of Veterans" is still extending?
NBA officially announced the list of the 2024-25 regular season best teams, and Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry was selected for the All-A-Second Team. This is the 10th time Curry has been selected for the All-Year Team.
It is worth mentioning that Curry, now 37, is still able to enter the second team of the best team in the fiercely competitive league, which makes people have to admire his physical management, competitive state and lasting dominance. He has also joined the ranks of extremely rare historical ranks - he can still be selected for the roster of the best first or second team after the age of 37.
There are only three names on this list:
"Tian Gou" Kareem Abdul-Jabbar** (selected in the All-Second Team and the First Team once at the age of 37)
LeBron James (also selected for the Second Team this season)
Stephen Curry
Against the backdrop of many stars getting older and their data and role declining year by year, Curry still maintains the level of top defenders. This season, he averaged 26.1 points, 5.2 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.8 three-pointers per game. His shooting percentage and efficiency are still at the forefront of the league, turning the tide many times in key games.
This is also the 10th time since Curry was selected for the Best Team in 2014 (including 4 first teams and 6 second teams), which is in line with the "God Pitcher" career myth. He not only completely changed the space and rhythm of NBA games, but also continued to affect the outcome of the game at an advanced age with his technical extension and ability to read games.
Looking at the active service, except for James, almost no other player over 37 years old can be stable among the league's core, let alone being selected as the best team of the year. The coexistence of Curry and James also represents the extension limit of the "oldest golden period" of the "oldest general".
