Hupu September 4th News Newcastle officially announced that the club appointed David Hopkinson as the club's new CEO.

David Hopkinson will officially join the club on Friday, September 5, and will conduct a comprehensive handover process with the cooperation of outgoing CEO Darren Eals, who resigned from the position due to health reasons.

David Hopkinson has over 25 years of senior management leadership and business expertise in three countries and has produced results for some of the world's most influential and valuable sports organizations.

David was president and chief operating officer of Madison Square Garden Sports Company in the United States, leading the operations of the New York Knicks and the New York Rangers before joining New Castle United. The two teams are one of the most valuable teams in the NBA and the Hockey League.

Previously, as the head of global partner at Real Madrid, David served on the executive team, helping Real Madrid consolidate his position as one of the world's most valuable football clubs.

Earlier, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment for more than 20 years, overseeing business activities for the NHL Toronto Maple Leafs and the NBA Toronto Raptors.
