No O Neal? 21st Century: Kobe Duncan James Curry is undisputed, Jokic is selected
As of now, just one-quarter of the 21st century has passed. In the past 25 years, the NBA has also produced many historical superstars, including several recognized top ten superstars in history. Some US media recently selected the best team from the 21st century to the present, including the best first team, second team and third team, with a total of 15 people selected.

The five players selected for the 21st Century's Best Team are James, Duncan, Kobe, Curry, and Jokic. The two players selected for the second team are Wade, Paul, Durant, Antetokounmpo and O'Neal. The three teams are Harden, Nash, Leonard, Nowitzki, and Howard.
This list of the 21st century's best team also caused considerable controversy, especially Jokic entered the first round, while O'Neal was only in the second team. Jokic and O'Neal are undoubtedly both top centers in history, but Jokic is obviously not as good as O'Neal in terms of career achievements or historical status.

O'Neal is recognized as the top ten superstars in history and the only player besides Jordan who can win FMVP for three consecutive years. Although Jokic also won three MVPs, two more than O'Neal, there is currently only one championship and FMVP, which is completely impossible to compare with O'Neal. Jokic's current historical status is also among the top ten in history and cannot be compared with O'Neal.
So, it is more reasonable for O'Neal to be in a row. At least Jokic really can't squeeze O'Neal down yet. However, Jokic is still in his year of playing. If he can win one or two championships and FMVPs in the future, he will have the chance to surpass O'Neal and enter the top ten in history, and will be the number one center in the 21st century.

In addition, Durant and Antetokounmpo can only rank in the second team, not because they are not strong enough, but because their opponents are stronger. Durant is indeed not as good as James, and Antetokounmpo is not as good as Duncan. Although Antetokounmpo is still in his peak period, it is unlikely to surpass Duncan in the future, so it is difficult to enter the first stage of the 21st century, but it is also very good to be ranked in the second stage.
