Not convinced, Josh Hart thinks the Knicks "should" defeat the Pacers

Basketball

Josh Hart firmly believes that the New York Knicks were supposed to beat the Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals.

The New York Knicks seem destined to go all the way. However, they were upset by the Indiana Pacers in six games in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Starting guard Josh Hart still insists that the Knicks should have won, according to Hoops Hype.

In the Roommate Show with Jaylen Brunson, Hart said the Knicks’ victory was partly due to underestimating the Pacers.

"We still think we can beat them, and we should probably beat them, but that's the case. You can't underestimate them because they played very well in the playoffs," Hart said. "So, they're just the No. 4 seed and the like, and they're all outdated now because that's the current game state. It's different from the regular season."

The Knicks entered the series as a favorite to win the championship. Hart, Brunson and Carl Anthony Towns' tridents are considered a strong team. The Pacers are a young and rising star.

In the end, the New York Knicks missed the opportunity to enter the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999 and also missed the opportunity to win the championship for the first time since 1973. After the loss, the Knicks immediately fired head coach Tom Thibodeau and the team fell into chaos.

But in fact, the New York Knicks are the culprit that ultimately failed. What did the

Knicks do?

Knicks have all the weapons to defeat the Pacers. But in the end, they got out of control at their worst. The Pacers' defense is very strong. The New York Knicks can't fight against their opponent's body. Of course, the mistake turned the situation around.

New York Knicks made more turnovers, and the Pacers made the most of these turnovers. In the crucial game six, the Knicks made 18 turnovers, while the Pacers turned those turnovers into 34 points.
