Stein: No. 1 pick Flag will meet with Mavericks senior and coaching staff later this month
June 8th According to the latest report by Marc Stein, the 2025 NBA No. 1 pick, Cooper Flag, is expected to meet the Mavericks in the near future.
Marc Stein mentioned: "Frager will visit Dallas later this month to have an in-depth understanding with the team's management and coaching staff so that the Mavericks can pick him with the No. 1 pick in the draft on June 26."
Mavericks coach Jason Kidd said last month that he believes Dallas is a "very ideal place to settle in" for Flag, with both experienced veterans and young players with potential. He believes Flag can contribute to the team immediately.
Flag led Duke to the NCAA semi-finals in the 2024-25 season, averaging 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.4 blocks per game, with a three-point shooting percentage of 38.5%. He also became the 22nd player in Duke's history to be selected as the first team of the United States and was elected as Player of the Year.
It is worth mentioning that this is the second time in the history of the Mavericks, who have a No. 1 pick.
