Sun Exclusive: Forest is expected to fire Nuno next week, new coach candidates Rogers and Obo

Hupu August 24th, according to the exclusive report of famous Sun reporter Alan Nixon, Brendan Rodgers is Nottingham Forest's primary goal in finding a new coach.

The 52-year-old Celtics coach is highly valued by his boss Evangelos Marinakis, and his relationship with coach Nuno Espirito Santo has broken down.

The outspoken Marinakis has been following Rodgers for months, and now may be a good time to bring the former Liverpool and Leicester City coach back to England.

Rogers' contract with the Celtics is about to expire, and he has left the team before. If he leaves again, compensation will no longer be a problem.

Forest is fighting domestically and in European arenas, but this has not stopped the growing conflict between the boss and the coach. Nuno, 51, once publicly complained about the team's insufficient signings and admitted that he might be fired, saying that "no wind can rise."

Marinakis is expected to pull the trigger next week - when the Celtics will play a major Champions League qualifier against Kerat in Kazakhstan.

If the Celtics miss out on the opportunity and fail to bring in players during the transfer window, it will be easier for Rodgers to leave. Ang Postkoglu, 59, is also associated with the forest and will likely take on a new job after leaving Tottenham in the summer.

But he still has the potential to replace Rogers in the Celtic position. Forest had contact with Mourinho (Mendes after all), but he was too expensive.
