James explains why he can t choose Michael Jordan as his Dream Team teammate
According to Gautam Varyl, a columnist for US sports media F/W. Jordan was always an idol to James while growing up, but the latter hilariously explained why he could never say he wanted to play with the former. On the live show of Fanatics Fest’s Mind the Game podcast, James was asked to name a player he wanted to play with his pre-era.

"When you talk about inspiration, no one is more inspiring than Michael Jordan," James said. "...I think our game will complement it. He's a downright scorer...he has the scorer mentality. If I had to choose him, but I know I can't choose him because I know how social media works. You ******* would say, 'Oh, do you want to play with Michael Jordan too? You play with other people, '" James said. "I'm not asking this question. I'm just answering this question, guys. I'm not asking this question."
"But Jordan is really an inspiration," James continued. "Anthony 'Penny ' Hardaway was my inspiration. Grant Hill was my inspiration when I was growing up. Like that point forward. Scottie Pippen. Like that striker, like Penny, like Grant Hill, like Scottie. These guys kind of motivated me because I kind of wanted to be that point forward. So, these guys are a kind of people. I've seen the title, 'LeBron wants to play with Michael Jordan, '" James added. "I've seen it."

James now knows that every word he says will be twisted to some extent, making him look bad. His collaboration with celebrities has been severely criticized for years and he doesn't want it to be brought up again. As for what would have happened if James and Jordan were on the same team, they were simply unstoppable. As the Lakers superstar pointed out, their games are complementary. James always wants to give his teammates a chance, and Jordan is just a devastating scorer. In some ways, they are just a better version of the Jordan Pippen combination, and they won 6 titles together. Pippen is a ball-handling forward like James, but he is not as good as the latter in any aspect of the game except defense. James is a better scorer, rebounder and organizer than Pippen. If he and Jordan had joined forces, they would have disbanded the NBA.
James talks about his relationship with Michael Jordan
James and Jordan have known each other for a long time, but their relationship is not necessarily very good. That's not to say there is a problem, James said Jordan wouldn't talk to him until he retired. "So, I guess it's because I'm still growing, you know? And he, we all know him, even if you don't know him himself, he's one of the most ruthless competitors. Until I'm done, he doesn't have to watch me running around in the 23rd, and every time I mention my name, his name is mentioned, and he's like, 'I won't talk to you. Don't talk to me now."

James hopes his relationship with Jordan will blossom in the next few years. He mentioned that he and Kobe had a bad relationship at first. They only approached after Kobe retired, and hopefully, in this case, too.
