One of the dirty players in history! Childs complains about Jordan: He will use a trick and then seek favoritism from the referee

On May 24, former New York Knicks defender Chris Childs was unreliable when asked about his experience in confronting Jordan. In an interview with NBA reporter Brandon Robinson, Childs described the Bulls legend as "one of the dirtiest players in basketball history."

"He will do something bad at you and turn to the referee for favoritism," Childs told Robinson. Childs played in the NBA from 1994 to 2003 and was known for his physical strength and straightforward play, especially during the Knicks. Despite Jordan being widely regarded as the best player in history, Childs stressed that the two had multiple matchups filled with off-ball confrontations and trash talk.

"The principle I have adhered to from the beginning is: I am a man like you and I hope to receive corresponding respect," Childs said. He clarified that his sense of competition did not come from personal grudges, but from the pursuit of mutual respect on the court. “If you don’t respect me, I will take back my respect myself,” he added.

Childs recalled his interactions with Jordan after retirement, including playing golf in Miami, but he made it clear that his views on the six-time NBA champion remained based on professional competition. “I hate him on the court; I hate everyone who doesn’t wear the Knicks,” he said. This mentality reflects the aggressive spirit of the Knicks in the 1990s – a team that uses the old-school mentality of defense, tenacity and a refusal to bow to superstars as their team philosophy.
