Randolph: Today s NBA can hardly see real power forwards
When visiting the No Limit podcast, Zach Randolph bluntly stated that today's NBA can hardly see real power forwards.
Randolph said: "I feel like they are making the traditional inside out. Now you call the 'big guys' only 6-7, 6-8, and I call them 'hybrid players'. Some teams even let five 6-8 players play together, the highest on the court is 6-9, and the attack may be 6-6, 6-7 or even 6-11. Now this is a hybrid basketball, and there is no fixed position. You have to be able to shoot, you have to be able to defend, and you have to be able to keep a guard, you have to be able to guard the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and even 4th.
Randolph averages 16.6 points, 9.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game in his career.
