Shams: The Heat and David Mitchell intend to sign a two-year, $24 million contract
June 29th ESPN reporter Shams reported that according to sources, restricted free agent David Mitchell intends to sign a full guarantee contract with the Heat for two years and $24 million. Heat management has negotiated with Xiaomi's agent on a new contract.
Mitchell averaged 10.3 points and 5.3 assists in 30 games with the Heat, and his three-point shooting percentage reached a career-high 40%. ESPN Research data shows he ranks in the top five in the shooting percentage of defensive players (among players who have shot over 500 shots).
