Many Premier League teams are dissatisfied with the official, and legal costs soar because of lawsuits with Manchester City

Hupu, August 25th, a famous reporter from the Daily Mail, wrote this week's weekly report.

As the start of the new season, the Premier League released a "club newsletter" contact list, a move that has attracted the attention of major top clubs.

There are very different ways in which clubs add the roster, which may explain why Brighton ended up with 17 players on the list, while Manchester United only had five.

However, most of the discussion revolves around the Premier League’s own data, which lists no less than 35 people’s names and contact information, with a far ahead of the list.

While the Premier League declined to comment, league insiders said the roster was not a similar comparison, as their data covers all possible contacts, including administrative assistants, contacts on maternity leave, and almost all those that the club’s communications department may need to contact.

At the same time, however, clubs have raised increasing doubts about the level of spending in the Premier League, especially the numerous legal cases currently involved.

Clubs are concerned that litigation costs involving Manchester City and Chelsea are soaring, while the official Premier League operating expenses for the 2023-24 season are as high as £81 million. In the 2022-23 season, the operating expenses of the Premier League increased by £44 million.

Some people are concerned that a dispute with Manchester City over alleged violations of financial rules may eventually cost more than £200 million.

"Many of us have a hard time understanding why this number is so high," said a club executive. "Clubs usually host up to two games a week and hold multiple press conferences. How many press conferences do the Premier League have to hold? How many players do they have to take care of?"
