R.I.P. worked for 25 years & took up as many as two million photos, Juventus photographer Gilliao passed away
Juventus officially confirmed that Salvatore Giglio, a photographer who has worked for the club for 25 years, passed away. On the official website, the Zebra Corps expressed deep condolences for Gilliao's death and expressed sincere condolences to his family.
During his time at Juventus, Gilliao used his camera to record many iconic moments in the club's history. Gilliao has taken up to two million photos, most of which are about champion players wearing Zebra Legion jerseys. He followed Juventus to film over 1,000 games and achieved this milestone in 1998.
In 2009, Gilliao was particularly recognized and became the only Italian representative to be selected as the "UEFA World's Best Football Photographer". This proves his talent and ability to capture moments, allowing everyone to relive those precious moments many years later.
