James forwards Hennessy s latest ad! Lakers fans lawsuit is expected to be dismissed: the latter has no legal basis

Basketball

On October 14, there are still 8 days left before the start of the new NBA regular season. Lakers star James, who is still recovering from his injury, retweeted Hennessy’s latest ad on social media. In addition, some fans' previous lawsuits against James may be dismissed.

Earlier this month, James announced his "Decision 2." Just when many media and fans speculated that James might announce his decision to retire, the end result was jaw-dropping. James was just an advertisement for the Hennessy brand. Earlier today, James retweeted his ad to promote it.

For this reason, a Lakers fan named Andrew Garcia sued James to refund his money because the fan bought Lakers tickets for this season at a high price. In this regard, Michael Mccann, a reporter for the American financial media Sportico's legal channel, wrote that Garcia's fraud lawsuit against James was a legal balloon because the so-called "second decision" was actually an alcohol advertisement rather than a retirement statement.

Michael McCann said that there are many problems with the Garcia v. James case. The most fundamental problem is that a ticket to watch an NBA game only gives the audience the right to watch the two teams from a specific seat, nothing more. As long as fans can watch both teams from their seats, they're getting their due. If fans violate venue or team rules, their passes can be revoked and they can be ejected. But fans have no right to demand how the team plays, how the game is coached or punished, nor do they have the right to demand whether players retire will affect the historical value of the game.

Even if star players are used in promotional materials to entice people to buy tickets, fans should know that lineups and playing time are determined by coaches. In addition, injuries can also affect which players are available. Imagine that because a marketer promotes a player in a promotion, the coach has to play that player. It doesn't make sense. Likewise, even if a ticket holder is dissatisfied due to cheating or miscarriage of justice, it does not mean that the game ticket did not live up to its promise.

Because of this, James is likely to be immune from the fan's prosecution. What is everyone’s opinion on this matter? Welcome to give your opinions in the comment area.
