After losing to the 76ers and Knicks in the first two games, the Celtics lost to the Pistons 113-119 on the road, suffering a three-game losing streak to start the season. It is worth mentioning that this is the first time since 2013 that the Celtics have suffered three consecutive losses in the opening season. They only achieved 25 wins and 57 losses that year, ranking third from the bottom in team history. The last time the Celtics lost three consecutive games was back in the 2022-2023 season.
