Asia s No. 1 Son Heung-min is very likely to leave the Premier League, join forces with old acquaintances at the next stop

Football

According to Türkiye's Liberty News and well-known reporter Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, Fenerbahce coach Mourinho has met with Tottenham striker Son Heung-min, and the two sides have discussed the transfer this summer. Mourinho regards Son Heung-min as his core recruitment target, and Son Heung-min is open to joining because of his deep trust he established with Mourinho during his time at Tottenham.

Core obstacle: Transfer fees divergence

Tottenham priced the captain 30 million euros (Germany's turnover price of 20 million euros), which puts pressure on Fenerbahce. If Fenerbahce can meet the asking price, the negotiations will move forward quickly. In addition, Fenerbahce has promised to provide Son Heung-min with an annual salary of 12 million euros, twice his current income, and to ensure his core position and opportunities to participate in the Champions League.

Player prospects and competition

Although the Saudi team has offered a high salary offer, Son Heung-min prefers to stay in mainstream European arenas and rejects Saudi Arabia's interest. If the transfer is successful, he will renew his relationship with Mourinho and is expected to compete for the Turkish Super League championship and the Champions League breakthrough - both honors are heights that he has not yet reached in his career.
