Elliot talks about goals: I scored one on each of my left and right feet, I feel like I should trust my right feet more

June 26th, England and the Netherlands faced each other. In this game, Elliot scored twice for England's U21, which was a great contributor to the team's victory. After the game, Liverpool midfielder expressed his views.

Celebration after scoring the second goal

At such a moment, it's hard not to release your emotions. We are very grateful to those fans who have come from afar to support us, and those who cheer us up at home, whose support has always inspired us to move forward. The support of the fans throughout the tournament was incredible, and it was a time for the entire team and I to express our gratitude to them personally. Hopefully they can feel this gratitude and we need them to support us again in the finals. The key to scoring a goal is to cooperate with your teammates, then hit the target accurately, and then you will have a 50% chance of scoring. One goal is scored by the left foot, and one goal is scored by the right foot. I feel that I need to trust more of my reverse foot (right foot).

About my own goals

Goals are about timing, and I think I may have four chances in the first half. Either it was the opponent's goalkeeper's brave save, or they had excellent defense, but I believe there will be more opportunities. I just made sure I kept hitting the target and testing the goalkeeper, hoping that one of them would score, and I ended up scoring two goals. There is always an incredible feeling to score goals for the national team, and I hope there will be more such moments in the future.
