Estewan: Adapt very quickly at Chelsea; will gain muscle moderately and try to increase speed

Hupu September 8th Chelsea winger Estewan accepted an exclusive interview with Brazil Global Sports.
[Must Board] Estewan: Brazil has no vanity now, only pay; An Shuai encourages me to speak more English
I know that the Brazilian media has been talking to you about the national team, but I want to ask you to tell me how I started at Chelsea.
is so great! I love Chelsea, I love London. I don't think it's better. We are always a little nervous, right?
Move to another country, away from family. But it's amazing, God bless me. Wow, I think this is the happiest moment of my life.
Have you ever thought that fans will make Chant for you right away?
No (laughs). I only heard "Estêvão", a little song...
But I saw that the fans love me - not only them, but also the coaching staff, everyone at Chelsea - was incredible! Ever since I came here, I felt like I was at home. So, I thank God for everything that he gave.
What is the most difficult thing after actually joining Chelsea?
Thank God, everything goes well. But the intensity and style of the Premier League are completely different. I think the intensity of the Premier League is higher than that of the Brazilian League, and the physical fitness requirements are higher. I'm still getting used to it, but thank God, everything goes well.
Do you think you have made any progress in the game?
Of course. I have seen myself progress a lot because in the Premier League, everyone asks you to give your all and be there all the time. The game never stops. You have to focus as much as possible, and it is impossible to get a sloppy on the court.
It's very difficult to score goals in the Premier League because there are a lot of good players there, so it's more demanding on me, but I do learn a lot.
Before you transfer, someone doubts whether you will get a chance immediately, and you came to Chelsea to compete in the first three Premier League rounds, two of which are starters. What do you think this quick adaptability is attributed to?
Everything is going very fast, I have gained a lot of opportunities, even more than I expected at the beginning, but I think it is the result of my hard work and dedication.
Maresca is very confident in me that even if I come to a new league, a new country, I will give my all on the court to repay his trust.
This adaptation is amazing. I thought it would take longer to adapt because of climate and language. But, thank God, everything is going very fast.
I have adapted well to the British locale. The climate there helped me a lot during the three weeks there because the weather wasn't cold, but it was hot and it was dark at 9 o'clock in the evening.
So, I think this is also crucial to me and helps me adapt. Thank God, man. Everything is very, very good, I love it so much.
Off the field, what did you do in England? What did you see in London?
I have been to tourist attractions there, and even went to the shopping mall there, and I walked around leisurely, something I haven't done in Brazil for a long time.
is very free there and there are many things to do. I spent a lot of time with my family. My family is back in London and everything goes well because we just moved to a new house. My sister went to school there.
I am happy for her because she has the opportunity to study in one of the best countries and one of the best schools. This off-site environment is very good for me, do you know? Because everything is relaxed and peaceful.
Have you tried English breakfast?
I have tasted everything. Breakfast, dinner, lunch. But I miss Brazilian beans the most because the beans they eat in the morning in the UK are different. Of course, now that I have a house, it will taste easier, but before I stayed in a hotel. However, I made the most of this time here and ate a lot.
Many people are talking about physical confrontation in English football matches, which are intense, fast paced and fierce competition. I would like to ask you to talk about your preparations in this regard. Do you have your own personal trainer? Or will there be some private training?
Of course I have some personal coaches. I now have my own training outside of Chelsea. They already have a few players, so it is also important to do these training there, but I almost completed everything I can do within the club.
My club has given me everything I need to be the best player. Chelsea has all the facilities possible, so I will make the most of them and adapt as soon as possible.
There are many players who have become stronger after going to Europe. How important is this in your opinion? Do you want to gain muscle?
Of course, it is important to build muscle strength and muscle mass, but I think it...is important, but not fundamental.
But I want to further improve my speed and game style because thank God I got this opportunity and I was able to play well, relaxed, calm the way I am now, but also know I still have a lot to improve.
In the first few games, is there something that makes you feel like you need to improve your physical fitness or get stronger?
No, because I know how to avoid physical contact, I try to avoid it, right? Because players will eventually move forward at high speed, and Premier League players are stronger and faster.
But God helped me avoid physical contact and strength. So, I think that's where I'm good at.
You have a bright smile when you compete, which is very eye-catching. Your smile is charming; you seem to be comfortable and isolated on the court. Will you worry and take care of yourself so as not to lose the fun of the game, that kind of ease on the court?
I'm very happy because this is the only thing I'll do. The only thing I like to do, the only thing I can do is play football with joy, and play football with joy, because that's what I love, man.
So, I always try to keep a relaxed and happy mood, but I also shoulder the responsibility. I know that in today's Brazilian national team, the responsibility is very heavy, but I always try to stay natural, be myself, and not do anything I don't know how to do.
