Longo talks about Menion transfer: The key to breaking the deadlock may be the bonus, the gap between the two sides is 5 million euros

June 10th, Italian journalist Longo posted a message talking about the negotiations between Chelsea and AC Milan on the transfer of Menion.

Chelsea has talked with Milan in recent days and tried to bring Meinion to London. The player has made it clear that he is willing to join Maresca's project.

After the first 15 million euro price was found to be incompatible with the French goalkeeper's value, the Ross and Blacks have been waiting for the important price increase from the English club. During the past few hours of contact, the Blues have slightly loosened their bonus terms, but these are still not enough to convince Milan CEO Frani to let go.

Chelsea has stated that the maximum amount paid for Meinian is 15 million euros, and the Blues will regard the sale of Pulisic to Milan for 20 million euros in 2023 as a reference basis. Although Pulisic had only one year left for the contract, he was 6 years younger than Menion, who was 29 years old at the time.

To break the transfer deadlock of Menion, the bonus may become the key to bridging the quotation gap between the two sides of about 5 million euros. The Blues have a window period until 2 a.m. tomorrow to strive to reach an agreement before the Club World Cup.

Minion himself has reached a comprehensive agreement with Chelsea on the terms of the contract and informed Milan that he has no intention of starting contract renewal negotiations. Because of this, it is particularly subtle for the Ross and Blacks at this moment.
