Marlotta: Inter reduces average age, Atlanta does not sell Lukeman, resulting in a deal failure

August 26th Inter Milan President Marotta talked about topics related to the transfer this summer in an interview with DAZN.

What is Inter Milan's transfer strategy this summer?

We don't want to make a complete change, but just want to change the team's model. We have 5 new players, 4 of whom are new players who purchased them and 1 from Inter Milan youth training. Inter Milan's average age has dropped from 29 years old, and this is the path our new model is going to take.

Inter Milan and Leoni had a long scandal, but they were unable to sign him in the end. Is there any shortcomings in the team’s defense line?

For us, the defense line as a whole is still positive and has enough strength to support the team's ambitions. We won't bring in new defenders unless someone leaves the team, then we will look for a replacement.

Inter Milan had wanted to introduce forward Lukeman, but in the end he signed midfielder Diouf

We believe we must focus on opportunities that appear in the transfer market and find players who meet the needs of the coach. However, Atlanta decided not to put Lukeman in the transfer market, and the deal was not completed. We're always looking for young players who can adapt to this new model, and even though we know they're players with different characteristics, we've done that. Everything was done with the agreement with the technical team and the head coach.
