According to the official news of the Chinese Basketball Team on August 7, China will bid to host the 2027 U19 Women's Basketball World Cup. With the approval of the Chinese Basketball Association, the event hosting intentions are now collected from relevant units.

According to the FIBA's "On the Starting Plan for the 2027 FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup Event Purchase Procedures", with the approval of the Chinese Basketball Association, the relevant units are now solicited for event hosting intentions. The specific event-related information, bidding conditions and procedures are as follows:

1. Event information:

(I) Event name: 2027 FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup

(II) Match time: From July 17 to 25, 2027,

(I) Competition system: Competition system

(I) Number of solicitation competition areas: 1 competition area

(V) Number of participating teams: 16 participating teams, each team has 18 people

2. Application qualifications:

(I) Provincial, autonomous region, municipality directly under the Central Government, municipality with independent planning status, sports bureau, or its affiliated units;

(II) Non-government third-party service units, companies or local basketball associations.

III. Conditions for hosting:

(I) Must have the ability to obtain the consent of the local municipal government and sports authorities to organize the competition;

(II) Have the ability to issue corresponding foreign affairs handling documents and coordination capabilities to assist participants and officials from all countries in handling relevant entry and exit procedures;

(III) Have the experience of hosting the corresponding competitions of the FIBA and the Chinese Basketball Association in the past five years, and be able to coordinate relations with all parties to ensure the safe and smooth hosting of the competition;

(IV) Sufficient funds and certain market development capabilities, the event hosting fee must be paid and can provide high-quality competition services and guarantees for participants;

(V) The network signals must be provided and certain broadcast conditions must be met to ensure that the competition can be broadcast live;

(VI) The venues, venue facilities and related food, accommodation and transportation conditions must meet the requirements of international competitions;

(VII) The teams that operate large international events and provide the event operation history of the main team personnel.

4. Application requirements and application materials

1. Application information form for the intended applicant unit (see Appendix II for details);

2. The letter of consent of the city sports department (provincial sports bureau) (can be submitted until August 20);

3. The basic information of the competition area includes city conditions, venue conditions, reception hotels, event medical care, security, operation team, funding budget and other related introduction materials (see Appendix III for details);

4. Event operation budget (see Appendix IV for details)

5. Application procedures

(1) The principle of voluntary application shall be adopted;

(II) The applicant unit shall prepare relevant application materials as required;

(V) According to the inspection situation, based on the specific conditions of the applicant unit to host relevant events, organizational level, venue size and software and hardware, urban international transportation convenience, food and accommodation reception, fan base, government attention, and event preparation in recent years, then determine the hosting location according to the inspection situation.
