Official: Florence announces renting first and then buying defender Viti. It is reported that the buyout fee is 5 million euros
July 3rd Florence officially announced that it would rent first and then buy the signing defender Mattia Viti from Nice.
Fiorentina Club issued an announcement on its official website stating: "Fiorentina Club announced that we have loaned player Mattia Viti from Nice and obtained the right to buy the player." It was previously reported that Viti's buyout fee is 5 million euros. If Fiorentina buys the player, Nice can still retain Viti's future 10% transfer share.
Viti, 23, is an Italian defender, from Empoli youth training and joins Nice in 2022. Last season, Viti was loaned back to Empoli by Nice, making 33 appearances and scoring 1 goal. "When I learned about Florence's interests, I immediately told my family... It seemed a little unreal to me. I like Florence, the city I lived in as a kid, and I can't wait to play football here."
