The first round of the Champions League has just begun, and some exciting stories have already begun. One of them is related to Yusufa Mboji. The 21-year-old Slavia defender in Prague made his Champions League debut on September 18, with his two goals helping Slavia score a point from Norwegian team Bode Shining at home.

However, Mbogi's debut in the Champions League was not smooth sailing. He scored his first goal in the 23rd minute after the game started. But then he gave the opponent a penalty in the 54th minute. Fortunately, Slavia goalkeeper Jindridge Stanek saved the opponent's player Caspar Hogg's shot. In the 74th minute of the game, Mboji scored twice.

"There are more factors to get him on the court," Slavia head coach Jindridge Telpisovski said in an interview. "Yusufa, who scored two goals for our team, is very strong offensively - given his few previous game experience, his performance tonight is extraordinary."

This should have put the perfect end to the fantasy start of his Champions League career, however, Daniel Brazil narrowed the gap to one goal for Bode in the 78th minute, and then in stoppage time, Sandre Brenstad Fett equalized the score for the visiting team. "This draw is hard for us to accept," Telpisovsky said after the game. "We almost won, and we still have a great chance to decide the outcome in the last minute of stoppage time. The final score did not reflect our performance throughout the game."

Indeed, Slavia had reason to be disappointed with the result, but they also gained, that was, they discovered Mbogi, a genius who emerged from nowhere. Mbogi was born in Senegal on January 9, 2004. When he was a child, he was trained at the youth training academy of a domestic club in Senegal. Later, he was attracted by the fifth-level French team Gaillard Evans and made his mark there.

In January this year (July? Two statements cannot be verified), Czech League team Ihrava signed him, and the transfer fee was unknown. On August 20, Slavia, Prague bought it out for 1.2 million euros. Just one month later, the investment seems to be worth the money. At present, the transfer market has not announced Mboji's value, but plans to conduct his first evaluation soon. If he can continue to maintain the upward momentum, Slavia will surely earn a huge return with the €1.2 million investment.
