Liverpool are preparing to break Premier League transfer record for the second time this summer after completing Florian Watts deal

Liverpool reportedly offered a stunning offer this summer to sign Alexander Isaac. After signing Florian Wilz, the Reds are willing to break the Premier League transfer record for the second time.

According to the Standard, Liverpool is exploring the possibility of adding Isaac to the team to strengthen the offense. They see the Newcastle star as the perfect complement and replacement for Nunez. The Red Army has agreed to introduce Wiltz with an additional contract of £100 million plus £16 million. The German will undergo a medical examination this week. Chelsea's Moises Caisedo holds the current record (£115 million) and has moved from Brighton and Hoff in 2023.

Earlier this year, Isaac spoke about his future and told The Football News:

"There's nothing to say, really. I've commented on my situation and safety in Newcastle many times. How much I love the city and the club, how good I feel there. I didn't think about the future. I just want to perform for Newcastle. Now we've won the FA Cup, but we want to finish the game strong and qualify for the Champions League. That's where I'm focused."

Arsenal is also associated with Isaac, but hasn't taken action yet. This summer, they are in talks with Benjamin Sesco and Victor Jackles.

Earlier this year, former player Robbie Fowler believed that Liverpool must sign Alexander Isack. He added that regardless of Salah's decision, the Reds should strive to sign the best player in the league. Fowler told talkSPORT:

"It's not just a matter of Salah leaving the club; even if not stayed, I think they should keep moving forward and get players anyway. You look at the great Manchester United teams of the past, and when they won honors under Sir Ferguson, maybe the arrival of a player gave everyone a little bit of encouragement. He stressed the need to add the good players that could really improve the team, rather than simply adding numbers."

"If you look at the world football now, of course, the striker, to be fair, there aren't many strikers. I'm sure Liverpool will be associated with Isaac; I believe Newcastle would want to give him a new contract because of his goals and performance, so it would be a fun summer," he added.

Salah decided to extend his contract at Anfield to 2027 as he signed a new contract.
