TA: Chelsea s team decided to donate $500,000 in Club World Cup bonus to Jota s family
Leisu Sports reported on August 14 that the whole Chelsea team has jointly decided to donate part of the Club World Cup bonus to the family of the late Liverpool star Jota and the family of Jota's younger brother Silva.
It is reported that Chelsea will donate about $500,000 in bonuses to Jota's family. After winning the Club World Cup championship, Chelsea received about US$114.6 million in revenue, of which 15.5 million were given to the participating players.
Jota and his younger brother Silva died after a traffic accident in Spain on July 3 this year, shocking the football world. Liverpool then announced that he would pay Jota's remaining contract salary to his family for comfort and retired his No. 20 jersey.
